Traditional Venetian Plaster:
a mixture of lime putty, aged slaked lime and marble flour. It is ideal for recreating an ancient style of decoration.
Technique:
The layering process is artfully applied with a hand trowel. The burnishing process is done between layers with
a trowel. Several layers of one or more opaque color (s) are then manipulated to blend into each other.
These finishes require technique & are much labor intense.
The final results are a finish that looks slightly rough & mottled with the polished feel & look of marble, stone or fresco.
